Foster Care Fortnight: 11–24 May
Foster Care Fortnight runs from 11th to 24th May and is the UK’s largest annual campaign to raise awareness of fostering and celebrate the incredible difference foster carers make.
Led by The Fostering Network, Foster Care Fortnight shines a spotlight on the vital role foster carers play, while also encouraging people to think about whether fostering could be right for them. Over the two weeks, Lincolnshire Fostering Service will be sharing stories, information and opportunities to raise awareness about fostering and the many ways it can change lives.
Where you can find Lincolnshire Fostering Service
To support Foster Care Fortnight, Lincolnshire Fostering Service will be out and about in the community, speaking to members of the public, answering questions and sharing information about fostering:
- Louth Library – 6th May
- Waitrose, Lincoln – 11th May
- Spalding Library – 12th May
- Stamford Library – 18th of May
If you're interested in fostering in Lincolnshire, come along for an informal chat with our friendly team!
Online fostering information events
We’re also continuing to promote our online fostering information events, which are a great first step for anyone curious about fostering. These sessions cover what fostering involves, the different types of fostering available, the support offered and give attendees the chance to ask questions in a relaxed environment.
The next online information event takes place on 21 May.

Local stories
We will also be sharing what fostering looks like for many of our wonderful foster carers in the heart of Lincolnshire. Follow us on social media to discover the differences they make in the lives of local children.
Please help us spread the word during Foster Care Fortnight by sharing event details with friends, family or contacts who might be interested in fostering. Every conversation helps us reach people who could make a life-changing difference to a child in Lincolnshire.
